Welcome to The Adventurer where I will recount my tales week by week and sometimes day by day as I travel around the world as an intern, a student and a writer. My name is Janie Sircey and I am a 20 year-old Advertising major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Two summers back, I served as a Public Relations volunteer for the Warm Heart Foundation in Phrao, Thailand (warmheartworldwide.org). During my summer I traveled to Cambodia, England and Myanmar as well as all over Thailand.

This past summer, I interned with 2adpro Media Solutions in Chennai, India (2adpro.com). I worked directly with clients from around the globe on creating and implementing social media campaigns and pitching my ideas in true Mad Men fashion.

Currently, I am in Cork, Ireland as a study abroad student at University College Cork. In my four months abroad, I will be traveling all over Europe, so keep checking back for more stories and tales about my travels.

I hope you will follow me in my adventures around the world.

Please feel free to comment on my posts or contact me at Janiesircey@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to know more about my adventures.

  1. Hey Janie, how are you? I’m a PhD student in UCc and would like to ask you about some of your recent experience on your folklore tours, could you get in contact with me please?

  2. Hello Richard, I would love to speak with you about my UCC experience with the folklore early start program. Shoot me an email at Janiesircey@gmail.com and we can set something up from there.
